Our Stops

Every destination is a treasure to discover in the heart of the Gulf of Cagliari

1

Cala Bernat

In the bay of Calamosca stands the majestic Sant'Elia Lighthouse, whose history dates back to 1850. Built by the finest engineers of the Royal Civil Engineering Office, it was activated in 1860 after ten years of construction. The two-story building is topped by a cylindrical tower with white and black stripes that elegantly dominates the coast.

The rotating optics ensure a luminous range of 21 nautical miles. Electrified in 1937, the lighthouse today represents an important symbol of the beauty and history of Sardinia, offering a spectacular view of the surrounding sea from its tower.

2

Calamosca

Calamosca is an urban bay in the heart of Cagliari that offers a suggestive view of the Capo S. Elia lighthouse. Easily accessible from the city center, it creates a fascinating contrast between the lively urban landscape and the natural beauty of its tranquil waters.

The view of the historic lighthouse adds a touch of tradition to the modern landscape. The bay is perfect for swimming, sunbathing and practicing water sports such as kayaking and paddleboarding. Numerous cafes and restaurants nearby allow you to enjoy a meal while admiring the panorama.

3

Cala Fighera

This small bay is nestled in an amphitheater of limestone cliffs, creating an extraordinary natural landscape. The imposing cliffs, the result of millions of years of geological activity, provide a spectacular backdrop to the crystalline waters, making it a popular destination for swimmers and snorkeling enthusiasts.

Despite its size, the secluded location and tranquil waters make it perfect for a relaxing day at the beach. For adventure lovers, the steep cliffs also offer opportunities for rock climbing and rappelling.

4

The Devil's Saddle

The Sella del Diavolo (Devil's Saddle) is an iconic landmark of Cagliari, famous for its unique shape and legendary history. Part of Capo di S. Elia, it overlooks the Marina Piccola port and marks the western boundary of Poetto beach. On its summit are traces of Roman architecture and the remains of a 16th-century Aragonese tower.

The high limestone cliffs testify to its geological history, while the saddle-shaped morphology recalls ancient legends. A sought-after destination for hikers and nature lovers, it offers breathtaking views of the Gulf of Angels and hides small paradises of white sand and rocks at its feet.

5

Poetto

Poetto beach is one of the most frequented destinations in southern Sardinia. Located between Cagliari and Quartu S. Elena, it offers a long stretch of golden sand, crystalline shallow waters and numerous beach resorts and kiosks.

With its calm waters, it is ideal for swimming and relaxing, but also for practicing water sports such as windsurfing, kiteboarding and paddleboarding. The beach also offers spaces for beach volleyball, soccer and basketball, making it perfect for both those seeking relaxation and those who want to stay active.

6

Mari Pintau

The name "painted sea" perfectly describes this natural masterpiece. Located about twenty kilometers from Cagliari in the locality of Geremeas, it is the pearl of Quartu Sant'Elena, with a thousand shades of azure-emerald that contrast with the green of the hills.

The seabed is characterized by polished granite pebbles that give way to white sand. The crystalline waters allow you to admire the bottom dotted with rocks where sunlight creates suggestive plays of light. An ideal destination for spearfishing and diving, it offers a beach resort, equipment rental and a kiosk-bar.
